In many religions, dismemberment: the stripping of ego from identity, leads to understanding of what is important in life. The pandemic cut through many of our existing ideas of what we value and how we think about ourselves; who we are, and who we are becoming.

April 2020, at the height of the pandemic, three large black cars pass through the utter emptiness of the street outside. Our isolation is a mirror for the entire world, one in which we can see dark new galaxies being born.
