The PhotoWalk Podcast EPISODE #525 HOW TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE PROFOUNDLY

There are moments in life when something deeply personal finds its way into the wider world—and this is one of them.
My photo project Chalk-Stone White has been included in The PhotoWalk Podcast by Neale James, Episode #525: “How to Change Your Life Profoundly” (UK, 27 March 2026).
IPhotoWalks — Letter on Chalk-Stone-White
For me, walking and photography are inseparable — they are two practices that amplify one another, acting like the left and right hands of the same creative impulse. In my photo series
Chalk-Stone-White, the landscape becomes both subject and collaborator; the physical act of moving through the world shapes the images as much as the camera itself.
What I enjoy photographing most are landscapes that carry stories — not just pretty vistas, but terrains that have been lived in, contested, and reshaped. In this series, I documented salt-marshes, worn tarmac, floodplains, and quagmires of mud; places marked by both human intervention and natural resilience. Photo walking has taught me to slow down. In the rush of daily life — especially in cities like London or Paris, where I’ve lived and worked — it’s easy to overlook the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the curve of a river reconfigured by centuries of use, or the salt in the air on a foggy beach at the Seven Sisters. The physical rhythm of walking aligns with my photographic rhythm; each step is a breath, and each breath is an opportunity to see something unexpected.
